A native from Chelva (Spain) and a member of its Wind Band since 2006, Fran Amado completed his Undergraduate Studies in Percussion at the Valencia Conservatory of Music and the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg (Germany) in 2016. Meanwhile, he extended his studies, specially those related with orchestral training, with Roberto Soria, Paco Inglés, Gratiniano Murcia, Wieland Welzel, Nick Woud, Jesús Porta, Stephan Cürlis, Raúl Benavent or Josep Furió.
A short yet intense career, Fran is principal guest percussionist with the Spanish Radio Television Orchestra since 2017 and regularly subs with the Valencia Opera House-Palau de les Arts from 2016. An enthusiastic orchestral player, he has also performed with the Valencia Symphony Orchestra, Córdoba Symphony Orchestra, National Orchestra of Spain or the Castellón Symphony Orchestra.
As a teacher, Amado taught at several schools of music within the Community of Valencia and currently teaches percussion and conducts the Youth Wind Band at the Benicalap Music Society in Valencia (Spain). Fran Amado got 1st prize at National Young Performers Competitions in Lliria, Riba-Roja del Turia and Benisanó, and was awarded career grants from the Valencian Institute of Music during the 16/18 academic years.
