An alumni of the Centro Integrado de Formación Profesional en Nuevas Tecnologías Jose Luis Garci (Vocational Training College on New Technologies) and the Amaniel Conservatory of Music, Gilo Carricoba has always been interested in live performances, either as a performer, as a singer and specially behind the scenes as a sound, video and lighting technician.
As a Sound & Video Technician, Gilo has participated at various short films — “Acantilado” (Cliff), Big Bunny, “Estuvimos Aquí” (We were here) or “Ser o no ser… actriz” (To be or not to be… an actress). Most importantly, he is the founder of Grabaciones MICCAM with which he makes recordings and streams live performances of music festivals such as the Numskull Brass Festival Caudete or by institutions including the Iruaritz Lezama Foundation, Royal Higher College of Performing Arts in Madrid (RESAD), Grupo2000 Music Agency, Royal Conservatory of Music in Madrid (RCSMM), among others.
As a Lighting Technician, Carricoba is a staff member of Lomascrudo Teatro since July 2019, providing colorful scenery for Cabaret Sexy Revival, Woyzeck or “Martes” (Tuesday).
Performing opportunities brought Gilo to the Worcester International Festival for Young Singers with the Madrid Youth Choir, on tour with violinist Ara Malikian and his 15Symphonic or to the International Wind Band Competition in Valencia with “La Lira de Pozuelo” Symphony Wind Band for a 1st prize.
Gilo Carricoba currently works as the CEO and main technician for his Grabaciones MICCAM company, as a staff technician for Lomascrudo Teatro and as a percussionist of the Las Rozas Wind Band, all based in Madrid (Spain).
